Hahaha, at first I thought that the link was to some "Hey kids, nominate your guitar hero for an interrogation in GW!" kind of thing. My thought was "Who in the world would think that Dave Wyndorf is a guitar hero?" Then I saw the page. Laughed my ass off. No offense, but Dave, as he states, certainly does play the guitar "like an 8th grade school kid". Big triumph for him (and MM) to be featured, though. So you had no idea that they were doing this, Dave?

I think of Dave as a songwriter more than a guitarist. Much like with Curt Cobain, that kind of crappy guitar playing with a cool slacker "fuck it" attitude to it, but manages to write great tunes and then put a solid rock n roll voice on top of that. Just don't shut yourself up with a shotgun like a negasonic teenage warhead

Anyway, about shitty guitar playing. Is there really something wrong with that? I mean, check out this live performance of Blow 'Em Off @ Bizarre '95. Dave does a guitar solo at 2:45. Does a guitar solo really need to be more than that? Five notes or so. That's all you need. I'm not neutral on this subject, though, being a shitty guitarist myself.
