I've actually tried to think which 10 would make my list (hardest thing would be choosing which MM albums to omit to include other music, Dopes would always be on any list) and it's impossible. If I think of only one genre it becomes bit easier but still a pain. Jethro Tull's Thick As A Brick would be on the list for sure, it made such a huge impact on me even if I only discovered it last year.Would it be cheating to choose Neil Young's collection Decade which I've had since I was 16..(seeing NY in June - Monday after Download Festival...I hope I can stand up and stop the shakes haha). SOAD Toxicity would have to be on the list and any of Slipknot albums but most likely their first one. Then there's some folk music like Seth Lakeman's Kitty Jay and Laura Marling's I Speak Because I Can which are absolutely essential in that genre. Kasabian's first album has so many beautiful (many drug-related) memories to me and even if I've listened to it thousands of times it still sounds fresh. so does Dandy Warhols 13 Tales from Urban Bohemia. Green Day's American Idiot is a fucking brilliant album and I even went to see the musical last year (yes and I loved it!). Exile on Coldharbour Lane and Outlaw by Alabama 3 I could never live without (again too many memories and too many drugs). Then there's Bowie. Should I just have 10 Bowie albums? Ziggy would have to be on the list and Hunky Dory but Scary Monsters is essential too. PJ Harvey To Bring You My Love and Stories From the City, Stories from the Sea.
