Hi Libertine, doing great! I've got a part-time job (28 hours a week) at the vitamin webshop where I used to work before, and I live in a friend's house/barn for free. So I'm gradually recovering from the many months of unemployment last year.

It's difficult to find musicians who can play the kind of music Thaddie enjoys playing. Especially of his age. It would be much easier if we moved to a larger city, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Last weekend Thaddie and I were jamming together, and he was very excited about that. I'm not a good drummer, but I can keep a steady rhythm. I also learned a couple of blast beats recently. So perhaps we'll just be a band of two members for the time being, sort of like the White Stripes. My oldest son could theoretically learn to play bass, but he's much more interested in shredding and learning very long, complex solos by heart. It's very difficult to get him to do anything else, whereas Thaddie likes to master everything: lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass and drums. And I think that's very good for his musical development. Now when he's listening to music, he isn't just listening to the guitar, but to all the instruments.
